Cleft, Plastics, and Reanimation Coordinator
Rachel Zimmerman, R.N., B.S.N. is cleft, plastics, and reanimation coordinator for Dr. H. Steve Byrd and Dr. Richard Ha. She is responsible for:
- Initial contact and feeding instructions for new families of infants with cleft lip and cleft palate and other craniofacial disorders.
- Pre- and postoperative education at the time of facial reconstructive and other surgery.
- Coordination of care provided by multidisciplinary team members.
- Resource for hospital newborn nurseries and other healthcare providers in the community.
