In describing her responsibilities, Ms. Cooper says, "My goal is to make this experience as stress free as possible for the family. Sharing information about what to expect from the insurance companies and preparing family members for the day of the procedure help alleviate some of the unknowns accompanied with your child having a surgical procedure. The families receive quite a bit of information on the day we schedule surgery. Therefore, I follow up our conversation with an email, letter or phone call reconfirming the procedure. This is a very rewarding position. In some cases, it is like becoming part of the family."
Ms. Cooper has been married for 37 years. She is a grandmother of two very active little boys and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and cooking.
