Allison graduated from Baylor University's Louise Herrington School of Nursing in 2007. Upon graduation, Allison spent 3 years working on the pediatric medical/surgical floor at Medical City Children's Hospital, where she enjoyed helping pediatric plastic surgery patients. Allison also acquired experience in craniofacial surgery for children in Dallas.

Allison's tenure on the floor allowed her to gain knowledge of surgical and post-operative care for these patients. In addition, she developed a relationship with the physicians and nurse practitioners that practice pediatric plastic and craniofacial medicine. Allison was thrilled when she was asked to join the team because it allows her to work with these patients and families on a daily basis.
